Climate Classroom
Climate Classroom is a unique initiative to educate children on concepts of environmental sciences. It is a collective educational space within and outside schools across Rajasthan, that initiates a one-of-a-kind, action-oriented discourse among children on environment and climate change.
Apart from mobilising and educating rural children on environmental issues, Climate Classroom also looks at bridging the urban-rural gap and question consumption patterns, by bringing urban youngsters into rural landscapes to help them see and understand climate change as a local issue that affect people in the margins first.
Samagrshala - The Green Campus
A 2.5 acre green campus in the middle of a barren village called Kakalwara in Ajmer District, Rajasthan has been an active centre for many important child rights movements for over twenty five years. Samagrshala has been working in areas of prohibition of child marriage, juvenile justice, anti-trafficking, de-addiction, education and many more. It is also a home for destitute and orphan children from marginalised, de-notified, nomadic and semi-nomadic communities, offering them a holistic, cultural growing environment. This history of having worked in the child rights space for so many years, and our efforts that turned our campus completely self-sustainable makes this campus the perfect epicentre for Climate Classroom!
