Artist, Artisan and Nomadic People Dialogue
Our work in activism takes us across many landscapes, from protests to solidarity marches. In a show of solidarity, we took part in the Jawabdehi Yatra, a 100-day campaign for accountability led by SR Abhiyan and supported by the Rajasthan government.
During the march, Ek Potlee Ret Ki focused on amplifying the voices of Rajasthan’s artist and artisan communities. We mapped cultural communities across the path and mobilized over 10,000 individuals across Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Nagaur, and Jaipur, documented their practises, recorded their grievances and brought their concerns to be addressed at the Samwads.
We have replicated this model of mobilization and advocacy across all the states we work in. A crucial component in this process is our specially co-developed socio-cultural geo-mapping, which helps us identify overlooked populations and enable targeted governmental interventions where they’re most required.
